Gene Robinson couldn’t wait to become a bishop in The Episcopal Church of the United States.
He achieved his goal early.
Now he has announced an early retirement.
Early in. Early out.
Never mind the cost to the Communion.
None of us are perfect.
But my goodness.

...Or as Robinson himself would say, "Mission Accomplished!".
Robinson was quoted the other day as saying that he felt that he could retire now that Mary Glasspool has been elected in Los Angeles. Doesn't that speak more to a "mission" than simply his personal vocational decisions?
